Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
After graduating from our 200HR Yoga Teacher Training (or another school’s 200HR Teacher training) you are able to register straight away with Yoga Alliance and become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). This means that you are recognised as a qualified teacher who has successfully completed training that has met the standards of Yoga Alliance and can then get insurance and start teaching.
Then why gain CPD points?
If you are embarking on a journey of becoming a yoga teacher either as a part time or a full time job it is very likely that you will keep studying and enrolling into different workshops, courses or retreats. All these can count as CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
To gain a Full Membership (Level 1) with Yoga Australia you are required to complete an additional 150HRS of yoga training across a wide range of fields.
It is useful and beneficial to become a member with Yoga Australia and support the local community who in return does a tremendous job in supporting the local teachers.
