Many people are discovering the vast benefits of a mindfulness practice. Through the practice of mindfulness we become aware of our present moment experience as it arises, non-judgementally and with compassion. Yin yoga gives us the opportunity to train our minds and practice mindfulness. As we focus our attention to the breath within each pose, our concentration deepens and our thoughts are able to subside. The practice marries meditation and asana and challenges us to sit inside the discomfort that arises and observe our responses and reactions as we develop the qualities of surrender and patience. Through mindfulness meditation, yin yoga and yoga nidra, this 2.5 hour master class will develop some core skills and practices that can be applied both on and off the mat.
